White Mulberry

It lowers blood sugar and cholesterol in the blood and helps during diet. White mulberry is a plant, that is returning to our diet after years of oblivion. Not only its fruits but also tea from white mulberry leaves has miraculous properties. The white mulberry is a tree that can grow up to 15 meters. Its fruits are similar to blackberries. In Chinese folk medicine mulberry infusions are used as a nutrient for the body. The roots of this tree were used, among others, for the treatment of diabetes, fever and cough.

Active compounds in white mulberry leaves help to stabilize blood sugar level. These substances inhibit the activity of enzymes responsible for the decomposition of complex carbohydrates - starch and sucrose, and thus - limit their transformation into digestible glucose. As a result, part of the carbohydrates passing through the intestines remains undigested and is eliminated from the body. This results in normalization of blood sugar, because of its slower absorption after meals.

Reducing sugar absorption after meals has undoubtedly a big impact on maintaining a healthy weight. Apparently the white mulberry leaves also reduce cravings for sweets ...

Tea from the white mulberry leaves:
Pour a cup of boiling water to 2 g of leaves and leave it covered for about 10-15 minutes. Drink it 1-2 times a day.
